Sustainable Business Challenge
At Green Gold's 2001 Exposition, held October 11-12th, we presented a Sustainable Business Challenge to the business community in Western New York. The Challenge encourages local companies to improve the way they do business, by adopting and putting into practice the idea of a "triple bottom-line". This concept reflects a business strategy that includes environmental protection and social equity.

Businesses that accept the Sustainable Business Challenge will commit to an internal evaluation to examine and redefine their operations in terms of resource use and productivity, efficiency opportunities, employee culture and community investment and environmental restorative practices.

The Challenge draws upon existing documents and texts created to help articulate principles of sustainable development for businesses.
